HMS Vengeance

Thank you to HMS Vengeance (Stbd) ship’s company for raising £1600 through a number of events whilst away on patrol. The main fund raiser was the opportunity to ‘re-design’ the MEO’s hair. Normally sporting a ‘classic’ officers style, with ‘distinguished’ grey tones, the ship’s company shortlisted a number of ideas ranging from a patch work quilt effect (random bits shaved off) to a ‘reverse monk’. The winning design (by popular choice) was the circa 1990s Ronaldo (that’s the slightly rotund Brazilian not the Portuguese adonise) which involved the MEO’s head being shaven down to a grade 2 all over with the exception of a small patch on the front. Apparently the MEO’s hair is now fully recovered, but the photos of it still haunt him. Well done HMS Vengeance (Stbd).
